Use : For interior and exterior timber surfaces, floors T&G, parquet and for protection of all wet
areas.
Preparation : The surface must be dry, clean and free of grease. Special care should be taken to remove any dust from the pores of the timber. In addition mineral surfaces must be chemically neutral and able to bear a load.
New surfaces : Sand the surface to a fine finish. Prime with a natural solvent based oil (available from the
Natural House Company) or with Gloss Varnish thinned 20% with Citrus Thinner before
applying 2-3 coats of undiluted Varnish.
Renovated surfaces : Old, well preserved coatings should be given a light sand. Apply 1 to 2 coats of Gloss
Varnish. Old damaged and weathered coatings should be completely removed and then
treated as a new surface.
Application : Coverage approx 17 sqm/L depending on absorbency. The temperature should be at least
8 deg C. Stir well and apply with brush or fine nap mohair/enamel roller to give a thin
even coat. At 20 deg C and normal humidity the surface will be tack dry after 3 - 5 hours.
Wait 12 - 24 hours for each coat to be dry before lightly sanding (240 grit) and applying a
further coat. Floors can normally be walked on after 24 hours, final hardness will be
achieved after 28 days.
Safety Instructions : Keep out of reach of children. Do not pour oil residue into the sewer. Let the remnants dry out and dispose of with your domestic rubbish collection.
Do not crumple soaked rags (otherwise spontaneous combustion may occur).
Composition : Tung oil, Linseed stand oil, modified Colophony, Citrus turpene, Balm Turpentine, Silicic acid, Lead and Barium free drying agents.
